  1. Apart from the Janapada style of poetic expression of Pingali, the song is a master piece in terms of the subtle beauty & action of Mahanati, mischievous poses of Jamuna, boisterous leaps of NTR & a neatly dressed romantic hero ANR.Besides the general meaning “branch” for the word “Komma” in Telugu generally perceived by the common folk, literally it also means a lady .Bammera Pothana who authored “Andhra MahaBhagavatham” liberally made use of this term to describe “Rumini Devi” in the episode of her “ Kalyanam” to (marriage).

Contextually,in this poem, the term means that there are two ladies living in harmony as a pair & they attained marriageable age & hence a need for seeing the matches for them indirectly. And to apply the other common meaning-“branch” of the term, factually speaking too, both being the daughters of the same father are the two flowers of the same branch (one is own daughter & the other step daughter to Gundamma). But their temperaments are a little bit different. This aspect is narrated in the second stanza wherein the poet says that for the younger one anger just dances on her nose i.e. very short tempered, but has a good heart while the elder one is very peaceful.
Poet Pingali’s greatness really lies in splitting the common phrase of “Naa Saami Ranga” into two and using them as “Naa Saami” & “Naa Ranga” in the first stanza.
Typical to his nature,he introduced new Janapada phrases like “Bala Bala”,”Belo Belo” to address both the ladies whom NTR fondly addresses as “Chinnammi” & “Peddammi”;especially he makes a beautiful equation by describing Mahanati that coolness dawns through her looks. Strictly speaking, a lamp with whom Savithri was compared is supposed to relay light with heat, but saying that it causes coolness, to the contrary, is only to mean that besides her docile nature, she has also the potential- rather the virtue- of upholding the respect of their family by lightening their lineage.
Humming by both the heroines in tune with the song by NTR is excellent. Mahanati’s action –especially by her lips is impossible to be described. It should just be seen & enjoyed. Her expression of a typical lady wondering at the leaning & dancing o f NTR with an inside feeling as to-oh! How beautifully this man is acting twisting his body like a professional lady dancer, with finger on her nose is just impossible for any other actress. Similar is a the case with her getting aside swiftly to avoid befalling of NTR on her out of emotion.ANR & Jamuna’s coming out of their room on hearing the song initiated by NTR,ANR’s signaling to Jamuna with his eyes towards NTR & Savithri, NTR’s wonder struck looking at ANR pair when they too start humming are unforgettable.

To Pingali’s poetic excellence in the lyrics, Ghantasala’s tunes & tone proved like fragrance getting acquired by the gold. And to these, NTR’s action is a perfect match. Above all his boisterousness/ buoyancy with which he dances/leaps like an adolescent ox getting excited at the touch of the rays of the morning sun is the greatest high light for the song.
